Magic in a box, with the miniDSP 2x4
The compact miniDSP 2x4 boxed is a flexible DSP (Digital signal processor) with 2 x analogue IN, 4 x analogue OUT. One can configure the 2x4’s onboard audio processing filters in real-time from a PC or Mac environment combined with a plug-in software for programming. Once the board is configured, the device operates standalone and doesn't require a computer anymore. Discover the miniDSP 2x4 HD boxed, an updated version of the miniDSP 2x4 featuring high-resolution audio capability and assignable FIR filter taps for sophisticated equalization, crossover and room correction.
Please look at the power supply table in our replated blog post to see which power supply to choose for the DSP module.
Discover the world’s smallest Dirac Live® hardware processor
With the launch of the miniDSP DDRC-24, the Dirac Live® room correction solution became available in a highly compact hardware unit. The DDR-24 DAC DSP is powered by a 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC processor and retains the 4-channel output of its sister unit, the miniDSP 2x4 HD boxed hereby allowing for applications like subwoofer integration or even 2-way loudspeakers together with Dirac Live® room correction in a single tiny hardware platform. The DDRC-24 is an all-in-one unit with USB DAC + Dirac Live Room Correction + Speaker processing.
Also, discover the brand's other Dirac Live devices, such as the miniDSP SHD, miniDSP SHD Studio and the miniDSP SHD Power. The SHD series combines Dirac Live with the popular Volumio streaming platform and the SHD power, even with integrated amplifiers.
Result of a collaborative effort: miniDSP’s ICEpower® Plate Amplifiers
MiniDSP partnered up with the Danish brand ICEpower® to create the miniDSP PWR-ICE125 and the miniDSP PWR-ICE250. Therefore, the amplifiers combine miniDSP's digital signal processing expertise with the ICEpower® plate amplifier technology. The results play real-time control of the onboard Digital Signal Processors (DSP) to design your ideal crossovers paired with excellent audio quality and high power output plate amplifiers, which makes them perfect for high performing audio systems.
Calibrate your HiFi Headphones with the MiniDSP EARS
Thanks to the miniDSP EARS, short for Earphone Audio Response System, it is now possible to calibrate headphones for an affordable price. Two microphone capsules are attached in a small "dummy head" on each set of EARS. A driverless USB connection is used for measurement output. There is no requirement for an external power source because the EARS are powered by the USB. Simply attach your headphones on the device and perform a measurement sweep using your preferred measurement application and headphone amplifier to measure headphones (e.g. Room EQ Wizard). The calibration file that is included makes adjustments for ear and microphone response. For the miniDSP HA-DSP headphone amplifier or any other headphone system with EQ functionality, the miniDSP EARS is the ideal instrument for constructing EQ filters.
