Test & measurement
Crimp connectors, also known as wire crimps, are frequently used in electrical work to securely link cables in fixed wiring installations, usually to terminate stranded wire. A specialised instrument is used to cold weld the crimp termination onto the wire, which is often faster, easier, and cleaner than soldering. There are many different styles and colours to choose from to suit various tasks.
A well-engineered and well-executed crimp is designed to be gas-tight, preventing oxygen and moisture from reaching the metals (which are often different metals) and causing corrosion. Here at SoundImports, you can find wire crimps from our premium brands Grip Tools and Molex.
Connecting cables to component connections can be done in a variety of ways. Crimp connectors are frequently employed in addition to direct soldering or the usage of connectors. Crimp connectors come in a variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate various connector types.
Fixed copper wire cables can be plugged directly or screwed by bending an eyelet. To ensure a secure connection, the strands of flexible wire cables must be bundled and fastened in place using crimp connectors. The resulting connection at the wire's end can now be fastened or plugged in.
