        miniDSP AMP-8 8-channel Class D power amplifier powered by ICEpower

         

        The miniDSP AMP-8 is built for demanding home audio and installation environments where multiple channels, high output and clean signal handling are required in a compact chassis. Its 8-channel layout makes it suitable for home theater, immersive audio, active multiway speaker systems and multizone amplification.

         

        At the heart of the AMP-8 are four ICEpower 300A2 amplifier modules powered by an ICEpower 1500S switch-mode power supply. This combination delivers 300 W RMS per channel into 4 ohms or 150 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms, with the power supply rated at 1500 W continuous and 2400 W peak for strong system headroom.

         

        Connectivity is designed for clean system integration. The amplifier provides 8 balanced XLR inputs, 2 V RMS input sensitivity and a 38 kΩ input impedance. With a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.5 dB, 123 dB(A) signal-to-noise ratio and THD+N of 0.0008% at 10 W into 4 ohms, it is a precise choice among high-performance amplifiers.

         

        The 442 x 336 x 90 mm chassis fits a 2U rack format and includes removable feet for flexible placement. A 12 V trigger input and output allow external on/off control, while the USB port supports firmware upgrades.
