        PRV Audio WG175Ph Professional Compression Driver

         

        The PRV Audio WG175Ph is an 8 ohm professional compression driver developed for high-output sound reinforcement and custom loudspeaker designs. It features a 1 inch exit throat and a 25.4 mm voice coil, allowing efficient coupling to the integrated square waveguide for controlled dispersion and consistent sound coverage.

         

        With a nominal power handling of 75 watts, 150 watts continuous program power, and a peak power capability of 300 watts, the WG175Ph is suitable for demanding mid-high frequency duties. The phenolic diaphragm combined with a Kapton voice coil former and CCAW voice coil wire provides a balance of durability and smooth tonal character, particularly well suited for vocal and midrange clarity.

         

        The driver delivers a sensitivity of 108 dB and is optimized for use with a high-pass crossover at 3,000 Hz using a 12 dB per octave slope to achieve full power handling. Its ferrite magnet structure produces a flux density of 1.02 T, contributing to strong motor control and stable performance. Compact dimensions, including an overall width and height of 115.5 mm and an overall depth of 117.0 mm, make the WG175Ph easy to integrate into compact enclosures and professional speaker cabinets.
