        Peerless by Tymphany TG9FD-10-04 89 mm Glass Fiber Cone Full Range Driver 4 Ohm

         

        The Peerless by Tymphany TG9FD-10-04 is a cost-effective, high-performance full-range woofer from the TA, TC and TG series. Its glass fiber cone, rubber surround and polymer chassis give it the combination of stiffness, control and low moving mass needed for compact audio components where space is limited.

         

        The motor uses a ferrite magnet and includes a copper cap to help reduce voice coil inductance and distortion. With a 19.43 mm voice coil, 0.07 mH inductance, 2.4 Tm BL product and 2.8 g moving mass, this woofer is built for clean full-range output in small-format designs.

         

        Performance specifications include a 113 Hz resonant frequency, 0.83 Qts, 36.3 cm² piston area and 1.29 liter Vas. The TG9FD-10-04 handles 10 watts RMS, offers 2.6 mm maximum linear excursion and covers a frequency range from approximately 110 Hz to 15,000 Hz, making it suitable for compact speakers and portable systems.

         

        The driver is especially well suited to TV products, portable loudspeakers and other compact applications. Suggested enclosure alignments include around 4.0 liters sealed for an F3 of 114 Hz or around 5.9 liters vented for an F3 of 66 Hz, giving DIY builders and compact speaker designers practical options for different low-frequency goals.
