        The HDS-P830991 is part of the Peerless High Definition Sound series, designed for high-quality multi-way systems and vented box alignments. As a compact bass-midwoofer, it combines a 133 mm nominal format with an 8 Ω impedance, 30 W IEC power rating and a usable frequency range of 100 to 4000 Hz.


        Its glass-fibre composite cone is paired with a half-roll rubber surround and a finite element analysis designed suspension system. The linear spider design and long-throw voice coil help this woofer maintain clarity at higher excursion levels, with 6.55 mm linear excursion and 7.65 mm maximum mechanical excursion.


        The ferrite motor includes an aluminum shorting ring to reduce coil inductance and distortion while supporting extended frequency response performance. Cone neck ventilation and under-spider ventilation reduce air compression effects during demanding playback, helping the driver stay controlled in compact speaker designs.


        A cast aluminum basket provides structural rigidity, additional venting and useful heat-sinking capacity for the motor assembly. Key parameters include 86.4 dB sensitivity, 5.9 Ω DC resistance, 0.352 mH voice coil inductance, 76 Hz resonant frequency, 0.55 Qts, 5.11 L Vas and a 6.35 Tm BL product.
