The Hypex NC502MP combines two high-performance NCORE® Class D amplifier channels with a high-efficiency regulated switch mode power supply on one compact PCB. This makes it a practical amplifier module for powerful active systems, studio monitors, home theatre designs, public address systems, and audiophile amplifiers.
Performance is designed to remain predictable across different loads. The NC502MP delivers up to 2 x 450 W at 2 ohms, 2 x 500 W at 4 ohms, and 2 x 350 W at 8 ohms, with BTL operation supported up to 1 x 1000 W at 4 ohms or 1 x 1200 W at 8 ohms. Its frequency response is flat and fully load-independent, while the low output impedance, low output noise of 47 µV, and very low frequency-independent distortion support clean, controlled reproduction.
The board includes a low-power standby supply that meets 2013 ERP Lot 6 standby requirements, plus universal mains compatibility with automatic 115/230 V switching. Protection features include overcurrent, excessive DC, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection. The Hypex Channel Extension connector also allows an additional low-power amplifier channel, useful for multi-way active speakers where a tweeter or mid/high channel is required. The NC502MP is also used in SoundImpress amplifier models, underlining its suitability for compact, high-power amplifier designs.
