Hypex NC500MP 1x500W NCORE® Class D amplifier module with on-board SMPS
The Hypex NC500MP is a self-contained amplifier module that combines a single NCORE® amplifier channel, a high-efficiency main switch mode power supply and a low-power standby supply on one compact PCB assembly. This integrated design makes it well suited for compact audio products where high output power, predictable behaviour and straightforward system integration are required.
Performance is centred around stable, load-independent amplification. The NC500MP delivers up to 1 x 500 W into 4 Ω, 1 x 400 W into 2 Ω and 1 x 270 W into 8 Ω, with a frequency response of 10 Hz to 50 kHz, +0/-3 dB across all loads. Its low output impedance, very low noise and frequency-independent distortion behaviour support clean, controlled reproduction in demanding audio systems.
This module is designed for active loudspeakers, studio monitor systems, subwoofer systems, public address applications and high-quality home or professional amplifiers. The NC500MP is also used in SoundImpress amplifier models, making it a proven choice for powerful and compact amplifier designs.
For integration in active speakers, the NC500MP includes external control options, amplifier mute, clip indication, power good status, DC error signalling and temperature readout. The Hypex Channel Extension connector allows an additional low-power tweeter amplifier channel to be added, for example in two-way active speaker designs. Because the board operates at mains voltage, installation must be carried out with correct insulation, clearance and safety precautions.
