The Hypex NC252MP 2x250W Amp Board is a compact dual-channel NCORE® Class D amplifier module with an integrated switch mode power supply, designed for efficient integration in power amplifiers, active loudspeakers and studio monitor systems.
Hypex NC252MP dual channel 2 x 250 W NCORE® Class D amplifier module with onboard SMPS
The Hypex NC252MP combines two amplifier channels, a high-efficiency main switch mode power supply and a low-power standby supply on a single compact PCB assembly. This all-in-one design makes it well suited for integration into amplifier modules projects where space, efficiency and predictable performance are important. It delivers 2 x 250 W into 4 ohms, 2 x 180 W into 2 ohms and 2 x 150 W into 8 ohms.
Built around NCORE® Class D technology, the NC252MP is engineered for a flat frequency response independent of load impedance, very low output impedance and very low, frequency-independent distortion. With low output noise, strong channel separation and efficient power delivery, it is a practical choice for high-quality amplifiers for home, studio and professional use.
The module supports a wide range of applications, including monitor loudspeakers for recording and mastering studios, active speakers, public address systems, home theatre systems and audiophile power amplifiers. The Hypex Channel Extension connector allows an additional low-power tweeter amplifier channel to be added, for example when building multi-way active loudspeaker systems. The NC252MP is also used in SoundImpress designs, underlining its suitability for compact, high-performance audio systems.
For system control and protection, the NC252MP includes external controlled operation, amplifier mute, clip indication, power good signalling, DC-error detection, advanced overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection and over-temperature protection. The module operates directly from mains voltage and must be installed with proper safety clearances, insulation and cooling inside a suitable enclosure.
