        The Mundorf UNICORN-200G MSilence Twaron® UnicornTail is a 200 g speaker cabinet damping material made from cleaned and carded TWARON® fibres, supplied as user-friendly endless strings for controlled low-frequency acoustic damping.

        Mundorf UNICORN-200G MSilence Twaron® UnicornTail Damping Material 200 g

         

        Mundorf UNICORN-200G MSilence Twaron® UnicornTail is designed as a speaker cabinet filler for acoustic damping. The material is produced in Germany by the Thüringisches Institut für Textil- und Kunststoff-Forschung exclusively for Mundorf, giving loudspeaker builders a purpose-developed damping solution for demanding cabinet designs.

         

        UnicornTail is predominantly made from cleaned and carded TWARON® fibres formed into user-friendly endless strings. This structure makes it easy to place and distribute inside an enclosure, while keeping handling practical during cabinet tuning and final assembly.

         

        The material was especially developed to absorb and damp the lower audio frequency range below 1 kHz. It is suitable for use in subwoofers, transmission line tubes and insulation panels where controlled low-frequency damping is required.

         

        TWARON® damping performance compares very favourably with other known damping materials, making UnicornTail a valued choice among developers and manufacturers of high-end speakers. The material is easy to work with and does not age, supporting consistent long-term performance inside the cabinet.
