The Hypex UcD400 is a single-channel UcD® Class D amplifier module designed for efficient, high-power audio amplification with low distortion, low noise and reliable protection features.
Hypex UcD400 1x400W UcD® Class D Amplifier Module
The Hypex UcD400 is a compact single-channel amplifier module for builders who need high output power and stable performance in a wide range of audio systems. Its UcD™ topology delivers a flat, fully load-independent frequency response, low output impedance and very low distortion across the audio band.
With 1 x 400 W available into 2 or 4 ohms and 1 x 250 W into 8 ohms, the UcD400 is suited to demanding amplifiers, active loudspeakers and multichannel power amplifier designs. It supports a power bandwidth of 20 Hz to 35 kHz and a frequency response from 10 Hz to 50 kHz at +0/-3 dB across all loads.
The module includes a buffered differential audio input for predictable signal interfacing in larger system designs. Pop-free start and stop control helps keep operation clean during power-up and shutdown, while operation from unregulated ± rails makes the module practical for custom amplifier builds and system integration.
For dependable use in speakers, home theatre systems, professional audio equipment and immersive or line array applications, the UcD400 includes overcurrent, overvoltage, DC-fault and short-circuit protection. It is compatible with the Hypex SMPS3kA400, SMPS400A400 and SMPS1200A400 power supplies, making it a strong foundation for reliable high-power audio projects.
