Hypex DSP3-224 Stereo 4-Channel DSP Module
The Hypex DSP3-224 is a stereo DSP module based on the Analog Devices ADAU1452 platform. It provides four-channel active filtering and is designed for use with compatible mains-powered Hypex NCORE and NCAS amplifier modules. This makes it well suited to compact DSP-controlled power amplifier builds, active loudspeakers and multi-way systems.
For analogue connection, the DSP3-224 offers stereo XLR and RCA inputs. With the optional DIGin3-322 expansion board, the module adds AES, S/PDIF and optical digital inputs, plus digital daisy-chaining options. Automatic source selection scans the available inputs, while automatic signal detection and adjustable standby functionality help simplify day-to-day operation in integrated amplifiers and active systems.
Filter design and system configuration are handled in Hypex Filter Design software. Each output channel provides 15 biquad filters, and FIR processing can be configured as one 2048-tap stereo input FIR filter or as four 1024-tap mono output FIR filters. Three programmable presets allow you to store different filter settings, input choices and volume offsets for different setups or listening requirements.
The DSP3-224 supports flexible output routing, including BTL operation with compatible two-channel amplifier modules. It also supports optional IR remote control, OLED display integration, master-slave operation and connection to a FusionAmp plate amp for creating a stereo 2.1 system. Typical applications include active speakers, active subwoofers, PA systems and studio monitors.
