        The Volt VM528 is a precision-engineered 2" midrange dome driver, developed for studio monitor applications where clarity, low distortion, and smooth response across the critical midband are essential. It features a soft fabric dome, FEA-optimized magnet system, and a lightweight Kapton voice coil assembly for outstanding transient performance and high power handling.

        Volt VM528 Midrange Dome Driver

         

        The Volt VM528 is a 2” (52 mm) soft dome midrange unit specifically designed to deliver a smooth, extended response with minimal coloration. It is engineered for critical listening environments, making it ideal for use in studio monitors. The one-piece coated fabric dome and surround are combined with a lightweight Kapton former and single-layer copper voice coil to enable fast, accurate transient response.

         

        The magnet system, optimized via Finite Element Analysis (FEA), achieves a high magnetic flux density through precise gap clearance, enabling excellent heat dissipation and high efficiency. A flat mounting plate ensures controlled dispersion, while the 4.8 mm spade terminals support both soldered and push-on connections for easy integration.

         

        A notable feature is the field-replaceable dome/coil assembly mounted on a composite diaphragm ring, enabling straightforward maintenance. With a robust machined aluminium chassis, 75W AES power handling, 89 dB sensitivity, and a working frequency range of 500 Hz to 5 kHz, the VM528 offers an excellent solution for high-fidelity midrange reproduction in demanding applications.
