Engineered for minimal coloration and low distortion, this unit features a critically doped paper pulp cone and a diecast aluminium chassis for superior acoustic precision and thermal handling.

        Volt BM165.4 Bass/Midrange Driver

         

        The Volt BM165.4 is purpose-built for compact 2-way studio monitors and other high-fidelity systems demanding accurate midbass response and dynamic performance. Its 165 mm doped paper cone, paired with a low-damping rubber surround and extended pole symmetrical magnet design, ensures minimal coloration and remarkable excursion linearity.

         

        This driver employs double mirrored rear suspensions that improve transient response, allowing for tight, clean bass at high input levels. The diecast aluminium chassis is vented beneath the suspension system to enhance cooling, promoting long-term reliability and reduced power compression during extended use. A large 38 mm voice coil and 100-watt AES power rating further ensure performance in demanding applications.

         

        The BM165.4’s Thiele-Small parameters are optimized for small enclosure designs, making it highly adaptable in both sealed and vented cabinets. Suggested cabinet volumes range from 10 to 20 liters, with a -3dB frequency response as low as 40Hz, making this unit suitable for high-end studio monitors, custom hi-fi builds, and other professional audio applications.
