        Visaton K 64 WP - 8 2.5" Full-Range Speaker 8 Ohm

         

        The Visaton K 64 WP - 8 is a compact micro speaker designed for reliable sound reproduction where space is limited and environmental conditions can be demanding. Its plastic basket and Mylar diaphragm make it suitable for applications that require moisture tolerance, UV resistance and dependable operation in outdoor or equipment-mounted installations.

         

        With a rated power of 2 W, maximum power of 3 W and a mean sound pressure level of 86 dB at 1 W/1 m, this audio component is well suited to monitoring and voice-focused playback. The 200 to 15000 Hz frequency response supports good speech intelligibility, making it a practical choice for control speakers, signalling systems and compact electronic devices.

         

        For use in outdoor speakers or exposed systems, the K 64 WP - 8 provides IP65 front-side protection when installed in a sealed enclosure. Depending on the installation, gluing the loudspeaker and adding a front grille may be necessary to maintain protection. It is functional in cold conditions, damp cyclic heat and dry heat, with cold storage capability down to −40 °C.

         

        Installation is straightforward thanks to a 60 mm cutout diameter, 2.8 x 0.5 mm positive and negative terminals and a low net weight of just 50 g. The driver also features a 300 Hz resonance frequency, ±1 mm excursion limit and 10 mm voice coil diameter, giving designers a compact and durable speaker solution for both indoor electronics and outdoor monitoring systems.
