        Visaton K 40 - 8 1.5" Miniature Speaker 8 Ohm

         

        The Visaton K 40 - 8 is a very compact micro speaker built for installations where space is at a premium. Its Mylar plastic diaphragm and metal basket provide a practical, durable construction for voice prompts, warning tones, and signal output in machines and other equipment.

         

        With a frequency response of 350 to 6000 Hz and a mean sound pressure level of 83 dB at 1 W/1 m, the K 40 - 8 is focused on intelligible speech and clear signal reproduction. The driver has an 8 Ohm nominal impedance, 1 W rated power handling, and 2 W maximum power handling.

         

        This miniature driver is suitable for indoor and outdoor equipment applications. When built into a sealed enclosure, the front side can achieve IP67 protection, with gluing of the speaker and a front cover or grille potentially required depending on the installation.

         

        Installation is straightforward thanks to its low 10 g net weight, 36.5 mm cutout diameter, and solder-joint connections. For compact audio components and signal-output assemblies, the K 40 - 8 offers a space-saving solution with a temperature range of –25 to 70 °C.
