It is equipped with the AKM AK4493S DAC chip, which is known for its high performance and low distortion. The SU-1 has a compact and stylish design, measuring just 96mm x 78mm x 27mm. It is made of aluminum alloy and has a black anodized finish. The front panel features a single LED indicator that shows the current input and output format.

The SU-1 has three inputs: USB, coaxial, and optical. The USB input supports up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512, while the coaxial and optical inputs support up to 24bit/192kHz PCM. The SU-1 also has a single output, which is a balanced XLR output.
