miniDSP DDRC-22D + UMIK-1 Digital Dirac Live DSP and USB measurement microphone bundle
The DDRC-22D is a stereo digital I/O Dirac Live audio processor designed for easy integration into an existing digital audio chain. It can be placed between digital sources and a DAC, between digital sources and active loudspeakers with digital inputs, or anywhere else in the digital signal path. For DSP modules in a digital home audio setup, it offers flexible source selection via the front panel or remote control.
The processor uses a 32-bit floating-point Analog Devices SHARC DSP and operates internally at 96 kHz. Digital connectivity includes AES-EBU on balanced XLR, coaxial SPDIF on RCA and optical TOSLINK, with all digital outputs active simultaneously. Four DSP presets are available, and the unit is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure measuring 215 x 200 x 42 mm.
The included UMIK-1 makes the bundle ready for calibrated acoustic measurements. This omni-directional USB microphone uses a 6 mm electret capsule and is supplied with a unique calibration file matched to its serial number, including on-axis and 90-degree calibration data. With calibration loaded, it delivers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±1 dB.
The UMIK-1 is a plug-and-play USB Audio Class 1 device, automatically recognized by Windows, Mac and Linux without driver installation. It supports 24-bit ADC conversion at 48 kHz and handles up to 133 dB SPL at 1% THD at 1 kHz. The microphone kit includes a hard cardboard case, 2 meter USB cable, pivotal mini-stand, microphone clamp and wind screen, making it suitable for room tuning, speaker development, live sound tuning and calibrated test and measurement work.
