The SEAS Excel W16NX001 - E0049-04 is built for demanding audio components projects where low distortion, controlled cone behaviour and reliable output are essential. Its precision-cast magnesium cone is machined and surface treated to act as a rigid piston through the audible frequency band, helping the woofer avoid midrange resonances.
With a 4 Ω impedance, 88 dB sensitivity and a frequency response of 45 to 2500 Hz, this bass-midwoofer is suited to serious loudspeaker designs that require strong bass-mid performance from a compact 146 mm driver. The 39 mm voice coil, 37 Hz resonant frequency and 15 liter Vas support flexible integration in custom designs.
The motor system uses heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece to reduce nonlinear and modulation distortion. A copper phase plug further reduces compression caused by voice coil temperature variations, increases long-term power handling capacity and removes resonances from the cavity inside the voice coil former.
The injection-moulded metal basket is extremely stiff and stable, keeping critical components aligned under demanding operation. Large windows above and below the spider minimise sound reflections, airflow noise and cavity resonance, while practical installation dimensions include a 126 mm baffle cutout, 73.5 mm overall depth, 137 mm bolt circle and six 5 mm mounting holes for use in precision home audio builds.
