SEAS Extreme L26RO4Y2 - XM006-04 10" Subwoofer 4 ohms
The SEAS Extreme L26RO4Y2 / XM006-04 is far more than a standard 10" midwoofer. With an Fs of 26 Hz, Qts of 0.27, Sd of 342 cm², BL of 17.7 N/A and ±15 mm linear excursion, it is built for compact yet powerful low-frequency systems. It is suitable for sealed enclosures, passive-radiator systems and open-baffle applications where strong motor control and high displacement are required.
The driver uses a very stiff aluminium cone and a high-performance motor structure engineered to reduce modulation and non-linear distortion. A copper cap around the pole piece helps improve linearity, while the long 4-layer high-temperature voice coil on a glass-fibre former supports high power handling and controlled excursion. The result is clean, forceful bass reproduction with 86 dB sensitivity at 2.83 V / 1 m.
Key electro-acoustic parameters include a 4 Ω nominal impedance, Re of 3.5 Ω, Qes of 0.29, Qms of 3.94, Vas of 40 liters, Mms of 160 g and Le of 2.33 mH. Power handling is rated at 250 W long-term and 500 W short-term. The 56 mm voice coil has a 40 mm winding height, combined with a 10 mm air gap for 30 mm peak-to-peak linear excursion and up to 56 mm peak-to-peak maximum mechanical excursion.
For installation, the L26RO4Y2 has an outer frame size of approximately 269 mm, a required baffle cutout of 236 mm and a mounting depth of approximately 142.3 mm. Mounting is handled by 8 holes of Ø5.5 mm on a Ø256 mm pitch circle. With its 10 kg construction and low Qts, enclosure design should be calculated carefully to match the desired alignment, tuning and system Q in high-performance speakers and custom audio components.
