        The Scan-Speak Ellipticor 21WE/4542T00 is designed around the Ellipticor concept, replacing the traditional circular motor geometry with an elliptical voice coil and magnet gap. This construction helps control inherent breakup behavior and contributes to the clean, accurate reproduction expected from a high-end mid-range woofer.

         

        Performance is supported by the powerful SD AirCirc magnet system, a 35/45 mm voice coil and a low 0.1 mH voice coil inductance. With 93.5 dB sensitivity, 4 Ω nominal impedance, 38 Hz resonance frequency and ±7.2 mm linear excursion, the 21WE/4542T00 is a strong choice among premium woofers for demanding loudspeaker projects.

         

        This driver is well suited for high-end bookshelf speakers, floorstanding systems and even subwoofer-capable designs where accurate mid-bass and midrange performance are required. Its combination of low distortion, fast transient response and high efficiency makes it especially suitable for critical listening applications.

         

        The 21WE/4542T00 features an effective diaphragm diameter of 172 mm, 233 cm² piston area and 54 litre equivalent volume. Installation is supported by a 222 mm overall outside diameter, 201 mm baffle cutout diameter and six 4.5 mm mounting holes, making it practical for custom speaker cabinet builds.
