        SB Acoustics SB17NRX2L35-4 6" 4-Ohm Midwoofer

         

        The SB Acoustics SB17NRX2L35-4 is a 6-inch midwoofer optimized for applications demanding high sensitivity and low distortion. Designed around a vented cast aluminum chassis, it provides excellent mechanical stability while minimizing acoustic compression. The cone, made from a proprietary natural fiber blend, delivers smooth and natural frequency response with very low coloration. This 4-ohm variant uses a CCAW voice coil on a non-conductive fiberglass former to reduce moving mass and electrical damping. An extended copper sleeve in the large motor structure ensures low inductance and improved linearity across the range. Additional ventilation on the coil former and pole piece enhances thermal handling and reduces dynamic compression. With a sensitivity of 92 dB (2.83 V / 1 m), free air resonance at 41 Hz, and rated power handling of 60 W, the SB17NRX2L35-4 is ideal for high-efficiency loudspeaker designs and compact two-way systems where dynamic range and tonal accuracy are critical.
