        The SB15NRXC30-8-131T belongs to the SB Acoustics NRX series, developed for customers who want premium driver engineering at a competitive price. As a versatile bass-midwoofer, it combines a 38 Hz free-air resonance, 88 dB sensitivity and 50 W rated power handling, making it a strong choice for compact high-fidelity loudspeaker designs.

         

        Its open, vented cast aluminium chassis provides strength while helping to reduce reflections and compression. The proprietary papyrus-style natural-fibre cone, soft SBR rubber surround and carefully controlled suspension support clean midbass reproduction and responsive transient behaviour. This makes the driver a refined option within DIY audio components for builders who value both mechanical quality and acoustic consistency.

         

        The motor system uses a 30.5 mm CCAW voice coil on a non-conducting fiberglass former to keep moving mass low. An extended copper sleeve on the pole piece helps reduce inductance and distortion, while the vented pole piece improves compression behaviour. Key parameters include 5.7 ohm DC resistance, 0.14 mH voice coil inductance, 5.6 Tm force factor and 8.1 g moving mass.

         

        With a Qts of 0.33, 20.7 litres Vas and 82 cm² effective piston area, the SB15NRXC30-8-131T is suitable for compact sealed or reflex loudspeaker enclosures. Recommended sealed volumes are 6 to 12 litres, while reflex alignments include 8 litres tuned to 39 Hz or 10 litres tuned to 40 Hz. For custom woofers and DIY speaker projects, it offers a balanced combination of low-frequency extension, controlled response and low-distortion construction.
