REDCATT Twiggy12 12" Shallow Subwoofer 4 Ohm
The REDCATT Twiggy12 is built for designers who need deep bass from a very compact installation depth. With a flange-to-rear depth of just 73.70 mm, this shallow subwoofer is suited for slim wall structures, car under-seat systems, beneath sofas and other places where conventional low-frequency drivers are too deep.
Despite its low-profile construction, the Twiggy12 is engineered for meaningful excursion and output. The 12" woofer uses a honeycomb cone reinforced with woven glass fiber layers, an NBR surround and a Nomex spider to maintain control under load. Its ferrite motor and 76 mm CCAW voice coil support 200 W AES power handling, 400 W continuous power and up to 800 W peak power.
The driver’s Thiele/Small parameters make it practical for compact bass reflex designs. Recommended alignments include 20 liters tuned to 34 Hz for high output and strong mid-bass, 25 liters tuned to 32 Hz for a balanced general-purpose response, and 30 liters tuned to 28 Hz for extended low-frequency performance with high-pass filter protection.
With 4 Ohm impedance, 84.20 dB sensitivity, Fs of 30 Hz and a steel basket, the Twiggy12 is a focused choice for custom speaker projects where installation depth matters as much as bass performance. The 323.00 mm overall diameter, 293.50 mm baffle cutout and 8 mounting holes provide clear mechanical references for enclosure planning.
