        The REDCATT 181XR is a professional 18" 4 ohm subwoofer built for high-excursion bass applications, combining a neodymium motor, 101.6 mm copper voice coil and reinforced suspension system for powerful low-frequency performance.

        REDCATT 181XR 18" High-Excursion Neodymium Subwoofer 4 Ohm

        The REDCATT 181XR is designed for professional low-frequency systems where output, excursion capability and reliability matter. As a high-performance subwoofer, it uses a powerful neodymium magnet structure, a 101.6 mm copper voice coil on a glass fiber former and a paper GF cone to deliver strong bass performance with controlled movement.


        The motor design features a demodulation copper ring and an innovative venting system for improved air circulation around the voice coil. Combined with the aluminum basket, large spaced dual spiders, reinforced spider-to-basket joints and hot-pressed woven-in tinsel wires, this woofer is built for demanding professional audio applications.


        With 1200 W AES power handling, 2400 W continuous power and 4800 W peak power, the 181XR is suited to touring bass bins, high-excursion PA systems and weight-critical installations. Its 96.54 dB sensitivity, 30 Hz Fs and 28.30 T·m Bl support high-output low-frequency performance in serious audio components projects.


        For bass-reflex enclosures, REDCATT recommends several alignments: 230 liters tuned to 28 Hz for high output and strong mid-bass, 275 liters tuned to 25 Hz for a balanced general-purpose response, or 275 liters tuned to 23 Hz for extended low-frequency performance with high-pass filter protection. The driver has a 467.6 mm overall diameter, 422 mm baffle cutout, 257.2 mm mounting depth and a net weight of 14.5 kg.
