REDCATT 181NPW 18" Bass-Mid Woofer 4 Ohm
The REDCATT 181NPW is built for demanding professional audio components projects where high output, low-frequency extension and mechanical durability are essential. This 18" bass-mid woofer uses a lightweight carbon fiber loaded paper cone together with a high-excursion triple-roll surround, delivering strong efficiency and controlled movement for powerful bass reproduction.
At the heart of the driver is a 134.6 mm copper voice coil on a high-temperature former, supported by an improved coil and magnet ventilation system. With 1500 W AES, 3000 W continuous and 6000 W peak power handling, the 181NPW is suitable for professional subwoofer designs, touring bass bins and weight-critical installations that require serious output without excessive driver mass.
The neodymium magnet structure keeps the net weight to 13.90 kg while maintaining a strong motor system with a BL of 29.70 T·m. Key Thiele/Small parameters include Fs of 28 Hz, Qts of 0.250, Vas of 167.70 liters and 94.80 dB sensitivity, giving system designers a capable low-frequency platform for efficient vented enclosures.
For bass reflex systems, the 181NPW supports several practical enclosure alignments. A 200-liter cabinet tuned to 26 Hz offers high output and strong mid-bass with reduced excursion, a 235-liter cabinet tuned to 23 Hz provides a balanced general-purpose alignment, and a 275-liter cabinet tuned to 20 Hz extends low-frequency reach when used with appropriate high-pass filter protection.
