REDCATT 15NPM 15" Bass-Mid Woofer 8 Ohm
The 15NPM is built as a professional bass-mid woofer with extended high-frequency response, making it suitable for demanding PA systems where strong low-mid output and usable upper bandwidth are both important. With a resonant frequency of 48 Hz, 97.73 dB sensitivity and a 101.6 mm voice coil, it is designed for high acoustic output with controlled performance.
Its lightweight carbon-fiber-loaded paper cone is combined with a high-excursion triple-roll constant-geometry surround for strength, efficiency and linear movement. The neodymium magnetic circuit uses two aluminum shorting rings and a double air-gap front plate to reduce flux modulation and help keep distortion low, even at higher drive levels.
Power handling is rated at 800 W AES, 1600 W continuous and 3200 W peak, giving this woofer the capacity required for professional loudspeaker builds. The aluminum basket, glass fiber former, Nomex spider and optimized cooling airflow support reliable operation in high-output speaker systems and weight-sensitive installations.
For bass-reflex enclosures, recommended alignments include 50 liters tuned to 55 Hz for high output and strong mid-bass, 60 liters tuned to 50 Hz for a balanced general-purpose response, and 75 liters tuned to 46 Hz for extended low-frequency performance. These alignments make the 15NPM well suited to vented PA bass-mid cabinets and 2-way or 3-way touring top designs.
