REDCATT 140NCD 1.4" Neodymium Compression Driver 8 Ohm
The REDCATT 140NCD is designed as a high-performance HF driver for professional loudspeaker systems. Its compact format makes it practical for builders working with audio components where enclosure space and weight matter, including 2-way and multi-way speaker designs.
With 109 dB sensitivity, 8 Ohm impedance and up to 60 W continuous power handling, the 140NCD is built for efficient high-frequency output. As a compact tweeter solution, it is well suited to portable column PA systems, 2-way PA tops and commercial installation systems.
The neodymium magnetic circuit is optimized to reduce flux modulation, supporting stable performance at demanding output levels. FEM optimized venting in the suspension helps lower harmonic distortion and improves control over dome movement at lower frequencies, while the PEN dome and 35.6 mm voice coil provide a solid basis for extended HF response.
For projects using compatible horns and waveguides, the 140NCD offers a space-efficient compression driver platform with a 95 mm overall diameter, 76 mm bolt circle, four mounting holes and a 47.85 mm flange-to-rear depth. Its 0.54 kg net weight makes it especially useful in lightweight or space-restricted systems such as line arrays.
