REDCATT 10FHWX8 10" Aluminum Cone Subwoofer 8 Ohm
The REDCATT 10FHWX8 is built for demanding low-frequency use in compact subwoofer systems. Its 24 Hz resonant frequency, 86 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm impedance make it suitable for applications where deep bass extension and controlled output are required from a compact driver format.
The diaphragm assembly combines an anodized aluminum cone with an NBR rubber surround, supported by a Nomex spider with stitched tinsel wires. This construction is designed for strength, durability and reliable excursion control, placing the 10FHWX8 among robust high-performance woofers for custom speaker builds.
REDCATT’s ferrite magnetic circuit uses a consistent magnetic flux gap, integrated aluminum shorting rings and optimized air ventilation. Together, these design choices help reduce flux modulation, improve cooling and support stable performance during high-power operation in home audio and home cinema bass systems.
For enclosure design, REDCATT recommends bass reflex alignments around 50 liters. Tuning options include 28 Hz for strong mid-bass output, 25 Hz for a balanced general-purpose response, or 23 Hz for extended low-frequency reach with high-pass filter protection. Installation dimensions include a 238 mm baffle cutout, 123 mm mounting depth and 8 mounting holes.
