        REDCATT 101FHWX4 10" Subwoofer 4 Ohm

         

        The REDCATT 101FHWX4 is built as a capable 10" subwoofer for extended low-frequency reproduction. With an Fs of 27 Hz, 87.08 dB sensitivity, and a Qts of 0.300, it is well suited to vented alignments where controlled output and low-end extension are priorities.

         

        Its glass fiber loaded paper cone and dustcap combine rigidity with low moving mass control, while the single-roll rubber surround supports reliable excursion. The Nomex spider with stitched-in tinsel wires helps maintain durability under high-power use, making this woofer a strong option for demanding builds.

         

        The motor and suspension package is designed for serious performance, with a ferrite magnet, 50.8 mm copper voice coil on an aluminum former, 32.3 mm winding height, and 12.15 mm peak Xmax. Gold-plated push terminals support a dependable connection, and coated metal parts add protection for tough operating conditions.

         

        For enclosure design, the 101FHWX4 works well in bass reflex cabinets. Recommended alignments include 40 liters tuned to 31 Hz for high output and strong mid-bass, 50 liters tuned to 27 Hz for a balanced general-purpose setup, or 50 liters tuned to 25 Hz for extended low-frequency response with high-pass filter protection. It is a practical choice for builders selecting durable audio components for sub assist or low-frequency systems.
