With a slim profile and high sensitivity, it delivers clear and controlled high frequencies in compact enclosures.

        PRV Audio WG2500Py SLIM Professional Compression Driver

         

        The PRV Audio WG2500Py SLIM is designed for professional audio systems requiring high sound pressure levels and reliable performance. It features an 8 ohm nominal impedance and a nominal power handling of 100 watts, with 200 watts RMS program power and up to 400 watts peak power capability. This makes it suitable for demanding mid-high frequency applications in PA systems and custom loudspeaker builds.

         

        The driver uses a 63.5 mm voice coil wound with CCAW wire on a Kapton former, combined with a polyimide diaphragm for durability and consistent performance. A ferrite magnet structure with a flux density of 1.87 T ensures strong motor control and high sensitivity. The recommended high pass crossover is 900 Hz with a 12 dB per octave slope to achieve full power handling and optimal reliability.

         

        With a frequency response from 800 Hz to 17,000 Hz at minus 10 dB, the WG2500Py SLIM delivers clear and articulate high frequencies. Its compact dimensions, including an overall depth of 146.5 mm and a mounting depth of 138.5 mm, allow easy integration into space-conscious enclosures, making it a practical choice for professional sound reinforcement and advanced DIY audio projects.
