        The PRV Audio 8MB500-8 is an 8" bass-midwoofer driver designed to provide high SPL with low distortion, making it a top choice for professional audio applications. It features a high-efficiency ferrite magnet and a 2" voice coil wound with CCAW (Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire) on a Kapton former for enhanced thermal handling and minimal power compression.

         

        Its lightweight yet rigid stamped steel frame supports a moving assembly with an optimized suspension system, allowing for precise cone control and an Xmax of 4.50 mm. The unit's sensitivity of 95 dB at 2.83V/1m ensures it delivers a powerful output even with moderate amplification.

         

        Covering a wide frequency range of 75 Hz to 7,500 Hz, the 8MB500-8 excels in delivering clear vocals and punchy midbass. It handles up to 500 Watts program power and peaks at 1000 Watts, making it ideal for multi-driver speaker arrays and compact full-range enclosures.The driver’s compact mounting depth of 85 mm and front baffle cutout of 182 mm allow easy installation in a variety of cabinet designs, whether for stage monitors or custom DIY builds.
