        PRV Audio 5MR450-NDY Professional Midrange Driver

         

        The PRV Audio 5MR450-NDY is a high-performance 5” midrange loudspeaker built to deliver powerful output with a lightweight design. Featuring a 1.5" copper voice coil wound on a Kapton former and a precision neodymium slug-type motor, this driver ensures excellent thermal and mechanical performance in compact speaker cabinets.

         

        Its wide frequency range of 160 Hz to 16,000 Hz makes it suitable for a variety of applications, from studio monitors to professional line array systems. With a sensitivity of 94 dB and power handling of 225 watts RMS (450 watts program), it provides clean and dynamic audio even at high volume levels. The lightweight die-cast aluminum frame minimizes distortion and adds structural integrity without unnecessary bulk.

         

        With a mounting depth of only 2.60" (66 mm) and an overall weight of 2.65 lbs (1.2 kg), the 5MR450-NDY is ideal for compact enclosures and portable systems. A recommended high-pass crossover at 290 Hz (12 dB/octave) ensures optimal power handling and driver protection.
