        PRV Audio 4MR60-NDY-4 Professional Mid Range Driver

         

        The PRV Audio 4MR60-NDY-4 is a professional-grade 4" midrange loudspeaker, engineered for applications requiring detailed vocal reproduction and efficient sound delivery. With a sensitivity rating of 91 dB and a frequency response stretching from 90 Hz to 20,000 Hz, it offers an excellent balance between clarity and range.

         

        This driver features a lightweight neodymium magnet and a copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coil, wrapped on a durable polyimide former. Its stamped steel frame provides rigidity without unnecessary bulk, making it especially suitable for portable setups and weight-sensitive installations.

         

        Technical highlights include a 0.75" (19 mm) voice coil diameter, 4.8 mm winding depth, and a mechanical compliance of 0.664 mm/N. With a mounting depth of just 1.75" (44.5 mm), the 4MR60-NDY-4 fits comfortably into shallow enclosures. The total harmonic distortion remains low across its operating range, making it an excellent choice for clean midrange reproduction in multi-way speaker designs or compact full-range applications.

         

        Its 60W continuous program power handling and 120W peak capability ensure dependable performance under demanding conditions. The driver also incorporates optimized Thiele-Small parameters, including a Qts of 0.85, a Vas of 2.85 liters, and a free air resonance (Fs) of 95.6 Hz, making it well-suited for sealed or small vented enclosures.
