        The PRV Audio 12W1600 12" woofer is a powerful low-frequency transducer designed for high-performance sound reinforcement systems. Its 4″ split copper voice coil is wound on a fiberglass former using proprietary high-temperature adhesives, ensuring long-term reliability under high power. With a continuous program power rating of 1600 watts and a 10.5 mm Xmax, this driver delivers deep, controlled bass with minimal distortion, even during peak transients.

         

        The woofer's die-cast aluminum frame is engineered with side-forced cooling slots that channel airflow across the voice coil, reducing heat build-up and enhancing thermal performance. A weather-resistant paper cone reinforced with glass fiber ensures durability and consistent sound reproduction, while a double heavy-duty spider and triple roll treated cloth surround provide excellent cone control and mechanical stability at high excursions.

         

        Designed for use in small vented or sealed cabinets, the 12W1600 also excels in folded horn enclosures, thanks to its shallow 5.51" mounting depth and high EBP. The spring-loaded push terminals ensure a secure and fast connection, making it an excellent choice for professional audio installations and custom builds where reliability, power, and fidelity are essential.
