The Morel Classic MDT 30 Dome Tweeter is a tweeter that was first introduced in the 1980s and has been replaced by the Morel CAT 308. The CAT 308 is a very fast tweeter capable of high dynamic range without SPL compression. It has a 104 mm aluminum faceplate, large Hexatech™ aluminum voice coil, replaceable Acuflex™ dome/coil assembly, ferrofluid cooled, high power handling and sturdy gold plated input tags.

Morel Classic MDT 30 1" Dome Tweeter

Sound pressure level (SPL) is a logarithmic measure of the effective pressure of a sound relative to a reference value. SPL compression occurs when the sound pressure level exceeds the tweeter’s maximum output level, causing distortion in the sound.
