        Monacor DT-254 1'' Soft Dome Tweeter

         

        This tweeter is as high-tech as it looks. It has a special spherical front plate to optimize the radiation pattern and a dampened rear chamber, eliminating internal resonance. This results in a very low resonant frequency and an even roll-off on the low-end so designing a crossover filter is should be a breeze. On the other end of the spectrum this tweeter displays an extra brilliant sound without sounding harsh.

        Well, I haven't used the tweeter yet. I'm waiting to perform some 8 ohm speaker to test its sound reproduction quality. The majority of speakers that assemble are 4 ohm. The tweeter has a good aspect. The appearance is quite good and I trust that the quality will be good too. I ordered these tweeters precisely to test them and see if I can normalize them for 8 ohm executions.
