The Lundahl M4-Isolator is a rubber vibration isolator for reducing mechanical coupling between a transformer and the equipment chassis.
Lundahl M4-Isolator M4 Rubber Vibration Isolator
The Lundahl M4-Isolator is designed to reduce the mechanical coupling between Lundahl transformers and an apparatus chassis. By placing the isolator between the transformer and the mounting surface, it helps limit resonance noise that can be induced in the chassis by the natural vibration of mains transformer cores.
This M4 version uses a rubber body combined with a steel threaded stud. It has an M4 thread size, a total height of 20 mm, a rubber diameter of 10 mm and a rubber height of 10 mm, making it suitable for transformer installations where a compact mechanical damping solution is required.
The isolator is intentionally firm. It is designed to damp vibration transfer rather than fully isolate the transformer from the chassis, since very soft and flexible mounts can compromise mechanical stability and may increase the risk of damage to the unit.
The M4-Isolator is suitable for vibration damping in transformers, amplifiers, power supplies and other vibration-sensitive electronic equipment. As a compact mounting hardware solution, it fits within the broader accessories range for audio electronics and equipment assembly. Together with the M3 variant, Lundahl’s vibration isolator range covers the company’s transformer models.
