Lundahl LL2777B Output Transformer for Single-Ended Tube Amplifiers 3.5 kΩ to 5 and 8 Ohms 150 mA
The Lundahl LL2777B is designed as a compact power output transformer for single-ended tube amplifiers. It provides a 3.5 kΩ primary configuration for 5 ohm operation and a 3.4 kΩ primary configuration for 8 ohm operation, with turns ratios of 26:1 and 20:1 respectively in application.
A 50% UL tap from B+ supports ultra-linear circuit designs, while the transformer can be gapped for different DC standing currents. The maximum recommended primary DC current through the windings is 150 mA, with heat dissipation specified at 4 W.
The LL2777B uses Lundahl’s high-quality grain-oriented silicon steel C-core and is built for reliable audio performance in compact tube amplifier projects. It reaches a frequency response of 15 Hz to 45 kHz at +0 / -2 dB with a 1 kΩ source and 8 ohm load, while signal loss across the transformer is 1 dB.
For practical integration among amplifier accessories and custom audio builds, the LL2777B includes 4 x M3 mounting holes and weighs 0.75 kg. It offers 4 kV isolation between primary and secondary windings and 2 kV isolation between windings and core, with a maximum primary signal voltage of 110 V RMS at 30 Hz.
