Lundahl LL2742-100 Choke For Tube Amplifiers 100 mA | 42 H
The Lundahl LL2742-100 is built for tube amplifiers where a stable anode supply choke is required. Its two coils can be connected in series or parallel, giving you flexibility when matching inductance and current capability to the power supply design.
In series connection, the LL2742-100 provides 42 H inductance with a recommended DC current of 100 mA and a saturating current of 140 mA. In parallel connection, it provides 10 H inductance with a recommended DC current of 200 mA and a saturating current of 280 mA. Heat dissipation is 2 W, and the maximum ripple voltage at the recommended DC current is 640 V rms at 100 Hz in series or 320 V rms at 100 Hz in parallel.
The choke uses Lundahl’s standard high internal isolation technique, with isolation foil between each copper layer. The audio C-core is produced in-house by Lundahl, and the winding insulation is specified at 4 kV between windings and 2 kV between windings and core. Each winding has a static resistance of 80 Ω.
The LL2742-100 is suitable for both choke input and capacitor input power supplies, and it can also be connected in series for improved common mode rejection. With a weight of 1.35 kg and M4 mounting holes, it is a substantial component for serious tube amplifier builds and restorations.
