Lundahl LL1930 Tube Preamp Line Output Audio Transformer
The Lundahl LL1930 is built for high-quality tube preamp line-output stages, especially parafeed output circuits. As one of the specialist audio components in a tube signal chain, it provides transformer coupling with a 5.8 + 5.8 : 1 + 1 winding configuration.
Its high permeability mu metal core supports low-distortion audio performance. With primaries connected in series, 4.5 kΩ source impedance and a 30 dBu primary signal, distortion remains below 0.1% at 50 Hz and below 1% at 25 Hz. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 30 kHz within ±0.1 dB with a 10 kΩ secondary load.
The LL1930 offers flexible secondary wiring for either 5.8:1 or 11.6:1 turns ratio operation, making it suitable for carefully matched tube preamp and amplifier interface designs. Each primary winding has a static resistance of 610 Ω, while each secondary winding has a static resistance of 16 Ω.
The transformer is designed for PCB mounting, with dimensions of 47 x 28 x 23 mm above the PCB and a weight of 105 g. Pin spacing is 5.08 mm within rows and 35.56 mm between rows, with a recommended PCB hole diameter of 1.5 mm. Winding-to-winding isolation is 4 kV, and winding-to-core isolation is 2 kV.
