Lundahl LL1680 Line Output Transformer for Tube Amplifiers 5 mA
The Lundahl LL1680 is built for tube amplifiers requiring a high-quality line output transformer with flexible secondary wiring. With its 9 + 9 primary and 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 secondary structure, it supports 15 kΩ : 600 Ω and 15 kΩ : 150 Ω operation in both balanced and unbalanced output configurations.
For optimized audio performance, the LL1680 uses paper insulation in the high-impedance sections to help reduce internal capacitance. Each coil is divided into three sections, balancing leakage inductance against inter-winding capacitance, while Lundahl’s special audio C-core construction supports stable magnetic performance.
The LL1680/5mA configuration provides 210 H primary inductance and is specified for 5 mA primary DC current at 0.9 Tesla. Depending on the selected connection alternative, frequency response reaches 15 Hz to 50 kHz for 600 Ω balanced output, 15 Hz to 40 kHz for 600 Ω unbalanced output, 15 Hz to 55 kHz for 150 Ω balanced output, and 15 Hz to 40 kHz for 150 Ω unbalanced output.
With 4 kV isolation between primary and secondary windings and 2 kV isolation between windings and core, the LL1680 is a robust choice among specialist amplifier accessories. It weighs 0.35 kg, uses 4 x M3 mounting holes, and supports a maximum primary signal voltage of 150 V RMS at 30 Hz.
