        Lundahl LL1620-60 Output Transformer for Tube Amplifiers 60 mA

         

        The Lundahl LL1620-60 is designed for tube amplifiers and belongs to the LL1620 family of output transformers. It uses the same core size, winding structure and secondary layout as the related LL1623, LL1627 and LL9202 models, while the LL1620 primary winding is configured for its specific impedance level.

         

        Its highly sectioned winding structure with harmonically sized sections helps keep leakage inductance low. Combined with Lundahl’s low-capacitance coil winding technique, this supports a wide frequency range and makes the transformer suitable for demanding tube amplifier designs and DIY amplifier kits.

         

        The LL1620-60 is a gapped single-ended version with a 60 mA recommended DC current operating point and 60 H primary inductance. The LL1620 offers primary load impedance options of 11.5 kΩ, 6.0 kΩ and 3.3 kΩ depending on the selected secondary connection arrangement for 4, 8 or 16 ohm loudspeaker loads.

         

        The open-frame construction is intended for mounting inside an amplifier housing. Practical build details include 4 x M4 mounting holes, 5.08 mm pin spacing and a weight of 2.5 kg, making it a substantial choice among high-quality amplifier accessories for tube output stages.
