The Lundahl LL1584-3FXPHM is a compact professional accessory for audio systems where hum, noise or interface mismatches need to be solved cleanly. It uses a female XLR connector on one side and a male Phono (RCA) connector on the other, making it suitable for balanced-to-unbalanced conversion between professional and consumer-style audio equipment.
Inside the unit is Lundahl’s LL1584 medium-impedance isolation transformer with a 600 ohms to 600 ohms configuration. The two ends are galvanically isolated from each other, helping to break ground loops without a direct electrical path between input and output. The transformer uses an amorphous strip core and is housed in a magnetically shielded enclosure for dependable signal handling.
Performance is specified for high-level audio use, with LF saturation above +17 dBU at 50 Hz and distortion below 0.2% at 50 Hz from -2 dBU through +16 dBU. With a 150 ohms source and 10 kOhms load, the LL1584-3FXPHM delivers a frequency response of 10 Hz to 70 kHz within ±0.5 dB, while transformer loss with a 10 kOhms load is 0.5 dB.
The LL1584-3FXPHM integrates easily with audio connectors and short interconnect setups, using a 10 cm cable length for the RCA male output side. It is a practical choice among professional audio cables and interface tools when you need reliable isolation, XLR-to-RCA conversion and high-level signal capability in one inline unit.
