Lundahl LL1524 Line Output Transformer for Balanced Drive 1 + 1 : 1 + 1
The Lundahl LL1524 is designed for balanced line output stages where low leakage inductance and wide bandwidth are required. Its 5-section winding structure supports excellent HF characteristics, making it suitable for demanding audio components and tube amplifier output circuits.
Performance is strong across the audio band and beyond, with a frequency response of 5 Hz to 100 kHz within ±0.5 dB when used with a 0 Ω source and 600 Ω load. With the secondaries in series and a 600 Ω load, the transformer handles up to +24 dBU at 30 Hz before saturation, while midband loss is only 0.5 dB.
The LL1524 is especially well suited to mixed feedback drive circuits, with an optimum source impedance of -14 Ω. In a mixed feedback configuration, distortion remains below 0.04% at 20 dBU and 30 Hz into 600 Ω, giving builders of high-quality amplifiers a precise transformer option for balanced output stages.
The transformer measures 48 x 34 x 22 mm above the PCB and weighs 125 g. It uses 5.08 mm pin spacing with 35.56 mm row spacing, and the recommended PCB hole diameter is 1.5 mm. Primary-to-secondary isolation is rated at 4 kV, with 2 kV isolation between windings and core.
