This compression driver features a precisely engineered phenolic diaphragm and a robust magnetic structure using a 41 oz barium ferrite magnet. The ferrofluid-loaded gap ensures reduced heat build-up, resulting in stable and reliable performance even under prolonged, high-power use. Its construction enables the D350 to deliver clear, accurate mid and high frequencies, making it ideal for use in tweeters and professional speakers.
The D350’s 3” copper voice coil is wound on a polyimide former, allowing it to withstand high temperatures and extend driver longevity. The driver’s injected plastic housing keeps it lightweight yet durable, while the easy-to-service diaphragm structure enables quick, cost-effective repairs, minimizing downtime in critical sound reinforcement environments.
Performance-wise, the D350 achieves a nominal power handling of 85 W (RMS) and can withstand peaks up to 300 W, ensuring powerful output for concerts, auditoriums, and other demanding settings. Its sensitivity of 110 dB SPL is complemented by a frequency range spanning 600 Hz to 7600 Hz, covering essential mid and high-frequency content with minimal distortion. This makes it a suitable component for both new builds and speaker repair projects.
Designed for versatility, the D350 features a standard bolt-on horn connection and push terminals for straightforward installation. It is compatible with a wide range of horns, such as Selenium (by JBL) HL 47-50, HL14-50, HM4750-SLF, and HC5650-SLF, providing flexibility for different acoustic requirements. For optimal performance, pair it with quality amplifiers and ensure proper crossover settings.
