        The Intertechnik JETSET50AT Outside Flare is a practical component for building or upgrading a 50 mm bass-reflex port system. It is intended for use on the outside of the speaker cabinet, where it creates a smoother transition between the port tube and the surrounding air.


        Used together with a compatible Jet Set 50 tube and the JETSET50IT inside flare, the JETSET50AT helps complete a flared bass-reflex port assembly. This type of flared port design can help reduce turbulence at the port opening, especially when air velocity increases during stronger low-frequency passages.


        By improving the airflow at the cabinet opening, the outside flare helps minimize audible port noise and supports a cleaner, more controlled bass response. It is especially useful in DIY loudspeaker projects where port performance and neat cabinet finishing both matter.
