        The IcePower SC400A2 is a compact Super Conductor Class D amplifier module delivering transparent, high-power performance with 2 x 400 W output or 800 W in bridged mode.

        IcePower SC400A2 Super Conductor 2 x 400 W Amplifier Module

         

        The IcePower SC400A2 is a high-performance two-channel amplifier module designed for transparent audio reproduction in a compact footprint. It uses IcePower Super Conductor technology to achieve extremely low distortion, with THD+N specified at 0.0003% at 10 W and 50 W into 4 ohms across the audio band. With a typical A-weighted idle noise of 15 µV in medium gain, it is built for systems where a low noise floor and signal integrity are essential.

         

        In stereo single-ended operation, the SC400A2 delivers 400 W per channel into 4 ohms from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 1% THD+N. For higher output applications, it can be configured as a single-channel BTL amplifier delivering 800 W into 8 ohms. This flexibility makes it suitable for high-end hi-fi amplifiers, multichannel systems, demanding studio monitors and reference-grade active speakers.

         

        Integration is straightforward thanks to fully differential audio inputs, a simple control interface and clearly defined status outputs. The module provides AmpDisable control, clip indicators for both channels, Protect status, DC error output and voltage monitor outputs for both channels. It starts automatically once all required supply voltages are applied, while the fast silent disable function helps reduce audible switching artifacts in more advanced designs.

         

        The SC400A2 is designed for robust system integration with thermal protection, adaptive overcurrent protection, over and under-voltage rail protection and short-circuit protection. An integrated aluminium base plate supports efficient heat transfer to an external heatsink or chassis, enabling improved sustained output power. The module is designed to work with the ICEpower 750S 1U 69 V power supply, allowing compact high-power platforms with up to four amplifier channels from one supply.
