Hypex UcD180LP 1x180W Class D Amplifier Module
The Hypex UcD180LP is part of the UcD™ family of compact Class D amplifier modules. Its low-profile construction, 55 g weight and 26 mm height make it well suited for space-limited designs, including multichannel builds where mechanical efficiency is just as important as audio performance.
Designed for predictable performance across different loads, the UcD180LP offers a fully load-independent frequency response, low output impedance and very low frequency-independent distortion. With 92% efficiency at full power and idle losses as low as 2.8 W with external VDR, it is a strong choice for compact amplifiers that require reliable power delivery without unnecessary heat.
The module runs from unregulated ± rails and supports a typical ±45 V supply, with a recommended operating range from ±20 V to ±50 V. It delivers 180 W into 4 ohms and 120 W into 8 ohms at 1% THD, while the differential audio input and fully passive loop control support clean integration into professional and controlled home audio systems.
For system designers, the UcD180LP includes practical control and protection features such as pop-free start and stop, amplifier ready output, on/off control, current limiter monitoring and DC-fault detection. Typical applications include active speakers, studio monitors, public address systems, line array and immersive installations, home theatre systems and multichannel power amplifiers.
