The Hypex NCAS500MP is a compact, self-contained NCORE® active speaker amplifier module with one 440 W channel and one 120 W channel, supplied with the required cables and available in Europe exclusively through SoundImports.
Hypex NCAS500MP 1x440W + 1x120W NCORE® Amplifier Module
The Hypex NCAS500MP is built for compact active speakers that need a defined two-way power layout. Its full-bridge high-power channel delivers up to 440 W at 4 ohms or 400 W at 8 ohms, making it suitable for low-frequency drivers, while the half-bridge channel delivers up to 120 W at 4 ohms or 100 W at 8 ohms for midrange or high-frequency use. This makes it an efficient choice for active HiFi speakers, studio monitoring speakers and active PA systems.
As a self-contained amplifier module, the NCAS500MP combines the NCORE® Class D amplifier stages, a highly efficient main switch mode power supply and a low-power standby supply on one compact PCB assembly. The module supports universal mains operation with automatic input voltage selection, allowing operation on 100 to 120 Vac or 200 to 240 Vac mains ranges. SoundImports supplies the required cables with this product, so integration into your project is more straightforward.
Performance is focused on clean, predictable output in demanding active designs. The NCAS500MP offers a 10 Hz to 50 kHz frequency response at +0/-3 dB across all loads, very low noise of up to 60 µV, low output impedance and THD+N down to 0.005% at 1 W. Protection features include advanced overcurrent protection, excessive DC protection, over-temperature protection and short-circuit protection, helping the module operate reliably when properly installed and cooled.
The integrated 5 W standby SMPS supports low standby consumption and can power external control circuitry. The module also provides useful system I/O, including power supply enable, amplifier mute, power good, DC error, clip indication and temperature readout. For safe installation, observe the required insulation and clearance guidance when mounting the module in an enclosure, especially on conductive surfaces.
